A New Range of Ergonomic Knives
Bahco is an international brand in the hand tool industry with roots dating back to the industrial revolution of Sweden in the late 1800s. Over the years, the product range has expanded to include a wide variety of hand tools. Myra was commissioned to develop a new range of ergonomic utility knives.
Modeling the Key to Understanding Grip Ergonomics
For this type of product, the design is as important as functionality since the usage can be in one’s daily work. Myra visualized the hand firmly gripping the knives and gave them a streamlined shape to provide comfort when working with repetitive motions. The design was also adapted for different positions and grips for both pull and push pressure, which increases efficiency and eases the work.
Different Look and Feel for Each Segment
The knife assortment includes three different types: retractable, fixed, and snap-off. Each type is designed to respond to different price segments, not only in terms of functionality but also in terms of appearance and feel.
