Active and protective elements
The machine almost functions as a small factory in itself. The internal process is difficult to read from the outside, but through green lighting and transparent green materials we aimed to communicate both activity and reassurance. The green glass cube creates a protected yet human workspace, while the light in the tumbler clearly signals that the system is in operation.
An inviting and undertable shape
Without design, the machine could easily feel aggressive and overly industrial. Carefully placed rounded corners instead create a balanced and harmonious form. The transitions and radii serve both visual and functional purposes. The goal was to make the machine easy to understand at a distance, even for first time users.
Working with soft forms in sheet metal at this scale is neither obvious nor simple. Through close collaboration with skilled metal manufacturers, we achieved a balance between strong visual identity, smart production methods, and high craftsmanship, without relying on costly tooling.
